I am wondering just how much marketing you personally use for your business and how much does it cost you? Do you use various forms of marketing, or just one and what are they? From what types of marketing do you seem to get the most leads, and make a better portion of your salary on?

It depends on your market and monthly revenue. I would recommend spending 25-45% of gross revenue on marketing.

I would look at inexpensive online marketing that will generate business for you from all over the country. I would suggest www.appraiserpursuit.com, www.appraisergeneral.com, and www.appraiserguide.com. These three directories have produced the highest ROI.

I believe that www.appraiserpursuit.com is the least expensive and I get the same results from most of them. Atleast 1 appraisal per month from each directory. Although sometimes it is hard to track because they will get linked to my web page and place an order. Nontheless, do yourself a favor and and get listed on www.appraiserpursuit.com.

Don't waste your money on paid listings, go for the free ones and if you want placement then write a worthwhile blog! Don't fall for the scams!!!

The best responses I've received from a paid site are from appraisers dot com

I also had some success with appraiser guide dot com, but I am not as happy with their service. I was working as an Independent Contractor for a local company, and paid for my own listing. When I requested that my contact info be changed to a new company, appraisers dot com did it right away;I am still waiting for appraiser guide dot com to make the changes; they are trying to get me to pay for a new listing. Still waiting for their latest response after I gave them the contact info for my former company - the owner said he would be happy to authorize them to make the changes since I paid for the listing.

I haven't received any orders from any other paid listings.

(I couldn't post the actual URL's since I am a new poster)

appraisersusa dot com. use a paid subscription to get one of the 1-5 spots. Well worth it.

Marketing is the overall campaign for an item/location etc... From tv to banners and getting radio commercials and creating a feel by donating money, Marketing does it all, and advertising is a small part of that.
