Ok,
Today, after fifteen years of appraising, I get my highest dollar value assignment. $1,800,000. Very few of those in this state.
This is a very elite neighborhood of homes (new and old) with acreage and old money residents. I speak of Ladue, MO.
I go outside with Mrs. as she shows me her outbuilding. We go inside another door that we went out of and I attempt to close the screen door behind me. A door closer was holding the door open, however. You guessed it, I pulled the old antique door and door closer right off.
I am thinking, I should have bought a general umbrella insurance policy for something like this. I am thinking this well mannered 30 year old trophy wife is going to snap and let me have it. Nope, she accepted my apology and called her husband to explain the accident and accepted my offer to come back with my drill and fix the damage that I caused.
Not a bad day, except the for DayOne sight still being down.
