I am now going through my certification classes and need some advice. My class is every Saturday for 8 hours. Do to current business obligations that was what I could do. We typically read 5 to 7 chapters of text then review in class. This makes it diffucult to grasp certain info (covering alot of info in 1 day). Then there really is no more assistance until the next week. Any suggestions on making this process alittle easier (less stressful)? Workbooks, books, etc... Thanks in advance!!

Search google for allied business school. It was all online it took me about 8weeks to complete.
I took my state test and had my trainee license in about 6 months.
For the last 2.5 years I have had 3 supervisors and completed all the necessary experience, sent my app. for my license in March 07' and will be a licensed real estate appraiser in california anyday.
Total time 3 years.
Good Luck.

Take a book with you and review the course work during breaks. Even 20 minutes will help keep things fresh. If you are taking notes in class, review these, focusing on the topics giving you the most trouble. Also get your hands on some other course books covering the same material. Different authors have different ways of explaining the same material. You'll want to start an appraisal library anyway, so now is the time to start.
You're eventually going to have to start studying for the various licensing exams, and you're going to have the same issue. Find a way to make the time to study and review materials during the week. As I said before, even 20 minutes can make a huge difference.
Good luck!
