Hello, everyone!

I greatly appreciate any sugggestions or advice on this thread.

I have decided to be an appriaser trainee in the state of Washington and have reviewed some of the approved online pre-licensing training institutions.
However, I wonder if this is the right choice to begin training.

I have no experience in this field and am wondering, "Which is better traditional classroom training or online?"

I would like your suggestions. They would be very helpful! Thank you!

Hello Monkeyontree!
State of washing is very beautiful...I need to plan a vacation up there sometime. :)

As far as appraiser training goes it depends what you have time for. If you are working full time right now, online training might be easier for you to fit in. Also if you are motivated and have no problems self studying online would be geat. However some people need a real teacher and traditional training might make things a little more interesting. All in all the both will do the job, just remember that you learn the majority of the material while working on the field.

Personally I recommend the traditional classroom. The Appraiser class I took was spread out over two weekends and was pretty intense. The instructor gave some real life examples which I found helpful and made things easier to remember.

Classroom......you can then start Networking also

The other thing to check out is the new requirements for 2008

also before you put any money down, talk to some appraisers from your area and see what the job market looks like....

Good Luck
